Our authentic and earthy Za’atar blends are made in Lebanon. Za’atar is typically consumed with olive oil and bread, or served on a traditional Manoushe. From Lebanese, to Jordanian, Palestinian and Syrian blends, every single one has a unique and nostalgic flavor to spice up your cooking.
As Lebanese and Palestinian immigrants in Toronto, we struggled to find high quality Za'atar. Despite the diverse culinary offerings in the city, the blends we found were bland and lacked the depth of flavor.
We would ask our parents to send za'atar with friends coming to Toronto, and slowly eat them so we won't run out quickly!
We decided to combine our passion for cooking with our desire and need to share the authentic flavors of our culture. It was finally time to make these flavors accessible to all immigrants and locals in Toronto.
The Thyme Travelers derives from the idea that we are travelers, traveling away from home to our new homes. But we all carry a special ingredient with us in our suitcases, "thyme".
