Aleppo Za’atar, from the city of Halab in Syria, has a delicious and unique nutty twist. It is based on a mixture of crushed spices and roasted nuts mixed with sumac and toasted sesame seeds. Coriander, fennel and cumin are added to the original mix of toasted sesame, thyme, sumac and salt.
